The State Youth Assembly (SYA) is a dynamic, non-political platform dedicated to nurturing leadership, civic engagement, and social responsibility among the youth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. Established with the vision to empower the next generation through education, awareness, and participation, SYA has become a model institution for youth-led initiatives promoting democracy, peace, and community development.

Educational and
Awareness Initiatives

Over the past decade, the Assembly has organized numerous educational seminars, awareness sessions, and youth empowerment programs across the region. From first-aid and self-awareness trainings in local schools to seminars on the role of education in nation-building, SYA has consistently worked to enhance the intellectual and moral capacity of young people. These programs emphasize not only academic growth but also personal development, ethics, and civic duty — helping youth understand their vital role in shaping a better society.

Institutional Collaboration and Exposure

SYA has also extended its outreach through collaborations with national institutions and international organizations. Its delegations have visited the Senate of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Pakistan Stock Exchange, and various research institutes, gaining valuable exposure to governance, economy, and policymaking processes. Through such engagements, SYA connects theory with practice — enabling members to witness democratic operations firsthand and encouraging them to participate meaningfully in civic affairs.

A Decade of Democratic Engagement

For the past ten years, the State Youth Assembly has also conducted annual parliamentary sessions aimed at raising awareness about democratic values, building harmony among youth, and strengthening cooperation with other democratic institutions.
